Fanduel Accepting Bitcoin Deposits for Fantasy Sport Games

Good news for Bitcoin holders and Fanduel lovers. The fantasy sport betting site has announced today that they will allow players to deposit funds to accounts using BTC as deposit via Bitcoin payment processing company BitPay – the popular bitcoin payment processor .

Fanduel accepting bitcoin for deposit is indeed good news for fans. I play NFL on Fanduel every Sunday during the regular season and I welcome this piece of news with great fanfare.

This is not the first time Fanduel dipped their toes into the world of Bitcoin & cryptocurrency. In 2018, the sport fantasy sport site launched a number of fantasy football contest in with winners were rewarded winners with bitcoins.

“NFL Football is one of the most popular sporting events to watch and the start of the football season makes it a perfect time to introduce Bitcoin to these fans,” stated BitPay’s CCO, Sonny Singh. “We wanted to have the option in place for Bitcoin users to deposit cryptocurrency into their FanDuel accounts and take advantage of the daily fantasy sports gamesm,” he continued.

United Kingdom & Ireland-based fantasy & sport gambling company Paddy Power Betfair acquired Fanduel in 2018. At the time of the acquisition, Fanduel was valued at $1 billion dollars with an annual revenue of $10 millions.
